The Backplane is Plug & Play compatible, it supports hot swap and the Raid-Level's 0, 1 and 5. With an 80mm fan, even the fastest Hard disks are kept cool. The operating status of each hard drive aswell as the power and the activity of the fans, are shown at the front of the Backplane by LED's. In addition there is a reset button, which is also used to stop the alarm for the fans.
