The ThinkPad X4 Dock provides flexible expansion and cable management for users of ThinkPad X40 Series systems. Compatible with both ThinkPad X40 Series ultraportable notebooks and the ThinkPad X41 Tablet, this dock offers rich function in a compact design. With the X4 Dock, accessing peripheral devices and storage media is easy. Note: the optical drive shown must be purchased separately.

• Simple, quick-attach cable management and expansion for ThinkPad X40 Series notebooks and tablets both in the office and at home
• An integrated key lock secures the notebook or tablet in the dock, while an optional cable lock slot allows the dock to be secured to your workspace
• Modular bay supports Ultrabay Slim options, including the DVD-ROM, CD-RW/DVD-ROM combination, and Multi-Burner Plus drives. It can also be used with the ThinkPad Second Hard Drive Adapter to house an additional HDD. However, it does not support the optional ThinkPad Ultrabay Slim Li-Polymer battery.
• Standard ports are three USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45), modem (RJ-11), serial, parallel, one PS/2 for mouse or keyboard, VGA for monitor, and power. Note that USB 2.0 ports operate at USB 1.1 with systems that do not support USB 2.0; Gigabit Ethernet port operates at 10/100 for systems that do not support Gigabit Ethernet; PS/2 port supports Y-cable for simultaneous use of PS/2 keyboard and mouse
• Two integrated speakers offer stereo sound
• The dock accommodates the hinge on the ThinkPad X41 Tablet system allowing portrait and landscape operation without the need to reposition the system on the dock
• Ergonomic design provides a comfortable typing angle
• A 56 watt AC adapter is included
• Notes: The ThinkPad X4 Dock is compatible with all ThinkPad X40 Series systems, including the ThinkPad X41 Tablet. It cannot be used with other notebook systems. It is compatible with the ThinkPad X40 and X41 Series 4- and 8-cell system batteries. It does not support the optional ThinkPad Ultrabay Slim Li-Polymer or the ThinkPad X40 Series Extended Life batteries.
