eLux NG for PC demo

In eLux NG, the user interface - the so-called "starter" - has been switched from Java-based to QT-based. Not only does this give your terminal a more modern look-and-feel, the streamlined starter also frees up space on the flash for your applications. To ease the transition for the customers, the basic structure - the division into Applications, Configuration and Setup areas - remains the same.
The task bar is no longer an optional component, but has been integrated into the interface. The eLux NG starter itself can be blended in and out, either locally or remotely using the Scout NG management tool! In addition, the user has one-click access to applications from the task bar. The new QT starter improves performance and lowers boot time at start. Displaying the eLux NG starter is optional. If you want, you can have multiple workspaces.

To improve the user experience and to make the transition easier for users who have previously worked in a Windows environment, eLux NG can be customized with background themes. In addition, applications are displayed by clicking on the taskbar.

The first time eLux NG is started, a Wizard appears to help you through the initial configuration. Or if you desire, you can enter a Manager address to automatically be managed by Scout. The eLux NG has expanded its horizons and, using a dynamic partitioning feature, can now be installed on a flash or a hard disk! This allows you to transform your "old" PCs into Thin Clients and your everyday laptop into a portable eLux NG terminal!

Instead of just one, you can now connect up to four mass storage devices in addition to USB mouse and USB keyboard, making a total of 6 USB devices that can be used! (Assuming your hardware permits, of course...) In addition, a USB ISDN modem can be used! Whether you use a video card, graphics card or ISDN card, hardware is detected automatically and the required drives are installed when the device boots. In addition, eLux NG includes dynamic macros to automatically detect the correct container during an update or recovery.
